Welcome to the gvb-foundation website, we have set this website up in the memory of our granddaughter Georgina Bywater who we sadly lost in 2005 aged 3 years. We thank everyone for their support and contributions throughout the years.

Previous charities we have raised money for
2002 - We collected for 'Jami Portman' who was suffering from cerebal palsy and raised over £2000 the most we have raised so far.
2003 - We collected for 'Alzheimers Disease' and raised over £1000
2004 - We collected for 'Help The Aged' and raised over £800
2005 - Sadly we did not put the Christmas lights up this year due to the tragic loss of our 3 year old granddaughter Georgina who tragically died by suffocating inside a tumble dryer.
2006 - We collected over £600 for Crestwood Park School Kingswinford - the school where Genie would have gone to.

Our aim is to raise money for children and babies who need that extra little bit of help in order to give them the love and support that they deserve. All money raised is donated to schools, hospitals and charities throughout the West Midlands and the UK. All services in getting this website up and running have been provided free of charge by certain individuals and local companies who are willing and helpful in providing support for raising money.
Joshua Baker is a current patient of Glenfields Hospital, he was born with 'transposition of the great arteries' (arteries the wrong way around), and 'pulmonary atresia' (pulmonary artery blocked) aged just three years old he has already had his fair share of challeneges having been in and out of hospital since he was first diagnosed with his condition. With the help and support his parents recieved from heartlink and friends whilst being at home and in hospital Josh's parents feel its their turn to give help back by raising money for this new scanner with Steve and Jan Woodall. This year we are helping Heartlink raise money for Glenfields Hospital in Leicester who are in need of a Vivid 7 Dimension Cardiovascular Ultrasound System which gives the ability to incorporate multi-dimention and 4D imaging into clinical routines to help diagnose patients. At a cost of £161.000.00 per machine we are grateful for all fundraising and support which can help towards raising the money needed for the new scanner.

The Vivid 7 Dimension Cardiovascular Ultrasound System gives the ability to incorporate multi-dimension and 4D imaging into clinical routine. The Real-time 4D volume enables more diagnostic information to be gathered from a single heart beat and fully integrating new dimensions into echo and stress exams.. The Vivid 7 Dimension enables clinicians to obtain multiple imaging planes simultaneously. This scanner gives clinicians a better way to convey their findings to other cardiologists and provides more cardiac information to help them better communicate the heart's structure and function.

Help us to support and raise money for the charity Heartlink - a charity who's aim is to provide support to parents and children with congenital heart conditions. They are a valuable source of information and help for parents, as Joshuas mother and father found out when he was first diagnosed at Glenfields Hospital.
Based at Glenfields Hospital in Leicester, East Midlands Children's Heart Care Association, registered charity 513946 were formed in 1981 and since then they have been supporting children and parents on many occassions.
